Sony's going full steam ahead on 4K this year, and has introduced a handycam that balances a reasonable price point with 4K image quality.
The 4K FDX-AX100 Handycam is a compact camcorder that can shoot 4K video at 24 and 30P, and will retail at $2,000 USD (well, $ 1,999.99) when it's released in March. It has a 1-inch sensor and a 12x optical zoom, and features smartphone connectivity and the ability to stream to TV via built-in NFC and Wi-Fi. This is Sony's second 4K camcorder but as the first retailed at $4,499.99, this will likely be far more appealing to enthusiasts. Check out the camcorder's full spec list at the Sony Store.
