Beats a box of chocolates, eh?
And now, eight.
Joining Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon and Leafeon as the newest "Eeveelution" in the Pokémon franchise is Ninfia, an all-new monster just revealed in the most recent edition of Japan's CoroCoro Comics. Ninfia (that's just its name in Japan, mind you) is a pink-colored take on the same style of quadrapedal creature design as all of the others and comes equipped with two butterfly-shaped "bows" attached to its body, both of which are trailed by two long "ribbons" whipping in the wind.
And then there are those claiming Ninfia is the first of an all-new, 18th type of Pokémon. "Light," perhaps.
That kind of speculation will likely continue for a while, but more information on this newest Pocket Monster should be unveiled when the next Pokémon movie hits theaters in Japan this summer. It's set, as always, to be accompanied by a Pikachu short film – and this latest short will feature the little yellow series mascot interacting with all of the different Eeveelutions. Perhaps we'll even learn Ninfia's method of evolution as part of the short film's plot?
Let us know what you think about this sixth Pokémon just revealed for the series' sixth generation by hitting up the comments box below. What type do you think Ninfia is? And what's your guess for what its name will be in America? (Spoiler: Something ending with -eon.)
