Yep, Captain America 3 will open against Batman/Superman (a.k.a. Man of Steel 2) on May 6, 2016.
DC and Warners made a statement when they announced that they would release Batman/Superman on a Marvel date, and now Marvel is making a statement of its own by not flinching.
This will mark the superhero movie showdown of showdowns, as Warners makes its big push to build its bigger universe with a film that will team up not just Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), but also feature the big-screen debut of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Meanwhile, Captain America 3 will no doubt be riding the wave of Marvel excitement in the wake of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the second Cap film, has its premiere in Hollywood tonight and already has critics who have seen the film buzzing. The picture, starring of course Chris Evans, opens on April 4 in the U.S. and a week earlier in international markets.
However, according to THR, “veteran box office observers doubt that the two films will ultimately open opposite each other.” Your movie, DC.
