The updated Code of Conduct section also notes that moderators will be a lot stricter from now on when it comes to deleting posts that are not related to a community’s specific game. Other tweaks include a restriction on how often you can post on Miiverse. Before you were free to post as much as you wanted, but now you can only do it every five minutes - the Big N says it’s to prevent multiple posts from the same user appearing all in a row. The change won’t affect comments though, so they suggest continuing your thoughts in the comments if you can’t fit it all in one post.
Other small updates include that you’ll now receive a notification when you have a new follower. On the flip side, you’ll no longer receive a notification when someone comments on a post you’ve commented on unless that person is the original poster. This is apparently in response to criticisms they’ve received that users were receiving too many notifications after commenting on a post.
What do you think of the new Miiverse Code of Conduct? Do you think it will affect your enjoyment of the service, or do you not care either way? And what about that new age restriction? Sound off in the comments below!
