“I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash’s iconic suit,” said pilot director/executive producer David Nutter (Arrow, Game of Thrones).
The Flash pilot is now in production, for a potential slot on The CW's 2014-2015 lineup. The cast includes Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Candice Patton as Iris West, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon and Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells. Guest actors in the pilot who would have recurring roles if the show moves forward include Patrick Sabongui as David Singh, Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen and John Wesley Shipp, the star of the 1990 The Flash series, in a mystery role.
The Flash is executive produced by Arrow's Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter. Nutter is directing from a script by Berlanti & Kreisberg & DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns
While technically only a pilot has been ordered, at this point, it's looking increasingly unlikely this project won't get a series order come May, when The CW announces their new lineup at the network Upfronts.
