Now that the summer is over we look ahead to what GTN-centric films are on the horizon for September through November. The return of Thor, Katniss, Riddick, and Machete, as well as our first tastes of Oscar bait, are just some of what's in store for filmgoers. While it’s impossible to ignore the fact that Microsoft and Sony are on the cusp of releasing their new consoles, it’s also wise to take a moment and remember that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are still alive, and honestly, stronger than ever. This year has already delivered generation-defining experiences like BioShock Infinite and The Last of Us, and that’s only the beginning.
Many of this year's most anticipated games, such as Call of Duty: Ghost, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Watch Dogs are going to be available on both generations of consoles. But more importantly, the next year is already crammed with great-looking games that can only be played on the consoles that millions of us already own. And given that PS4 and Xbox One aren't going to be backwards compatible, you're going to need to keep those old reliable consoles.
