Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has officially crossed $1 billion at the global box office as of Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
As reported by Variety, The Rise of Skywalker earned $481 million at the domestic box office and garnered an additional $519 million internationally for a grand total of $1.001 billion. Episode IX was released in theaters on December 20, 2019, and it took the last film of the Skywalker Saga 28 days to achieve this milestone, which is actually longer than both The Force Awakens' 12 days and The Last Jedi's 19 days. |
